For this project, Bao Bao Issey Miyake needed a website for their United States eCommerce platform, but not one that would compete with their original Japanese website. I collaborated with the Creative Director to work on the Visual Design, and focused on designing and refining UX and Interaction Design elements. During the development process, I worked closely with the Engineering team to help facilitate a smooth transition from design mocks to code by providing clear and detailed bug tickets via Pivitol Tracker and working alongside Development to improve the overall user experience.
PRODUCT COLOR SORT AND FILTER
The product shop page features the entire stores catalog of bags and accessories displayed in color order. I worked with the development team to define a “rainbow” that assigns positions and hierarchy to products automatically, requiring no manual labor or assignments on the store managers end. And as many products are sold in multiple color ways, we wanted to highlight the additional options each product comes in while still in preview.
The product filter floats in the right hand rail out of the products way but available when needed, pulling results live for the user.
