Sprinkles Sweet Shop

When designing the Sprinkles Sweet Shop branding, I wanted to embody the cute, retro feel of a vintage bakery without being too kitschy. I experimented with the idea of making the logo out of sprinkles, and using those sprinkles throughout the brand in elements like a repeating pattern for tissue paper used in packaging and in the dashed lines in the sub marks. By using a clean, modern font like Lato I was able to balance out the “cuteness” of the pastel sprinkle font and add a level of sophistication to the brand. This project was a fine line between creating something sweet versus juvenile — a definite challenge but great to see the big changes a subtle difference in design could make.
